We deliver honest, engaging talks and workshops on mental health

1) Talks tailored to suit all 16-24 year olds

Early intervention and prevention have the greatest impact, as such we need to tackle mental health in young adults.

Many mental health problems manifest before the age of 24 and are left untreated. The longer mental health is left untreated the more challenging it can become to support. This is why it is so important that Baretalks focuses on 16-24 year olds.

We work with 16-24 year olds in various settings and tailor our talks accordingly we work with: businesses to support graduates and inters; universities and schools to support students.

2) We empower you to get the support you deserve

The majority of people struggling with mental health problems do not get the support they need.
Why?

  1. It has become their reality and they don't realise that they have a mental health problem
  2. They don't accept that they have a mental health problem (stigma)
  3. They don't believe they deserve the support

Baretalks tackles all three of these causes and also shares techniques to improve mental wellbeing which are important for prevention.

3) We use relatable role models

We work with relatable role models who can quickly establish relationships with their audiences because they have experienced similar situations. You are far more likely to acknowledge and agree with someone that you can relate to; if you can see someone "like you" has survived from and flourished after/with a mental health problem you are more likely to believe you can too! This is why we believe passionately in the power of relatable role models.

A typical "baretalk" includes the following:

  • Introduction to depression and eating disorders through real life stories
  • Depression “myth-buster”
  • Tips to better mental health & stress reduction & where to find help
